Start anywhere the idea appears
Open Pinterest, Behance, Cosmos or any other page where a useful reference appears. Galta lets you keep an image from the page without exporting a screenshot first, and preserves the source so you can return to the original.
Bring several references onto the same canvas when you need to compare them. The canvas has no fixed board frame to outgrow: place clusters, notes, arrows and sketches wherever the relationship becomes clear. A small collection can stay focused; a larger one can grow around a question.
Let the board stay open
A moodboard is more useful when it can change shape as your thinking changes. Put a reference beside a note about what to keep, move a contradiction into view, or leave space for a direction that has not arrived yet. Galta keeps the web source beside the reference, so research does not become an anonymous grid.
Ask an agent to name possible directions or rearrange a group when that would help, or do the work yourself. The agent is optional: collecting, drawing, writing and arranging work without a connection.
Move from inspiration to making
When a relationship starts to matter, point at it: “Keep the silhouette from this reference, but use the quieter material in that group.” The whole canvas remains context while your gesture shows where to look first. Continue with a sketch, image, page or film beside the references, then compare the result without losing the starting point.
This is where an open canvas earns its space. It gives a thought room to branch, return and become specific instead of forcing every idea into one finished board.
Keep the boundary clear
Galta stores the canvas in the current browser profile and does not provide cloud sync. A source link does not grant permission to reuse someone else’s image; check the source’s rights before publishing or sharing. Generation is optional and uses your own connected provider account.
If you only need to save a few links, browser bookmarks may be enough. Use Galta when you want references, relationships and the next edit to remain together.
